Ingredients - Serves 8

Let's Get Started

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
  2. Rinse the turkey inside and out, and pat dry with paper towels.
  3. Rub the turkey all over with the softened butter, and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Place the garlic, thyme, rosemary, onion, carrot, and celery inside the turkey cavity.
  5. Place the turkey, breast side up, on a rack in a roasting pan.
  6. Roast in the preheated oven for about 4 hours, or until the internal temperature of the thickest part of the thigh measures 165°F (74°C).
  7. Remove the turkey from the oven and let rest for 20 minutes before carving.
