Pulled Pork
This tender and flavorful pulled pork is made in a slow cooker, perfect for sandwiches or tacos.
Ingredients - Serves 8
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Smoked paprika - 1 tablespoon
- Onion powder - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic powder - 1 tablespoon
- Worcestershire sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Apple cider vinegar - 1/4 cup
- Brown sugar - 1/4 cup
- Barbecue sauce - 1 cup
- Pork shoulder - 4 pounds
Let's Get Started
- In a small bowl, mix together the barbecue sauce, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Place the pork shoulder in the slow cooker and pour the sauce mixture over it.
- Cover and cook on low heat for 8 hours, or until the pork is tender and easily shreds with a fork.
- Remove the pork from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks.
- Return the shredded pork to the slow cooker and mix it with the remaining sauce.
- Cover and cook on low heat for an additional 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- Serve the pulled pork on buns or tortillas, and enjoy!
