Pork Intestine Noodles
A traditional Asian dish that combines the unique flavor of pork intestines with the comforting texture of noodles.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Green onions - 2, chopped
- Sugar - 1 teaspoon
- Oyster sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Ginger - 1 inch piece, minced
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Rice noodles - 200 grams
- Pork intestines - 500 grams, cleaned and cut into pieces
Let's Get Started
- Clean the pork intestines thoroughly and boil them in water for about 30 minutes.
- Drain and rinse the intestines, then cut into bite-sized pieces.
- In a large pot, sauté the garlic and ginger until fragrant.
- Add the intestines to the pot and stir-fry for a few minutes.
- Add the soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, salt, and pepper. Stir well to combine.
- Add enough water to cover the intestines and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for about 1 hour, or until the intestines are tender.
- In the meantime, cook the rice noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- When the intestines are tender, add the noodles to the pot and stir well to combine.
- Serve the noodles hot, garnished with the chopped green onions.
