Pork Gyoza
Delicious Japanese dumplings filled with ground pork and vegetables, served with a dipping sauce.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Dipping sauce - For serving
- Water - 1/4 cup
- Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
- Gyoza wrappers - 24
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Green onions - 2, finely chopped
- Cabbage - 1 cup, finely chopped
- Ground pork - 1/2 pound
Let's Get Started
- In a large bowl, combine the ground pork, cabbage, green onions, garlic, soy sauce, and sesame oil.
- Place a spoonful of the pork mixture in the center of each gyoza wrapper.
- Wet the edges of the wrapper with water, fold in half, and pinch the edges to seal.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the gyozas and cook until the bottoms are golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.
- Add the water to the skillet, cover, and steam the gyozas until the water has evaporated and the gyozas are cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
- Serve the gyozas with the dipping sauce.
