Ingredients - Serves 4

Let's Get Started

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground pork, minced garlic, chopped shallots, fish sauce, sugar, and black pepper. Mix well to combine.
  2. Cover the bowl and let the mixture marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best flavor.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Divide the pork mixture into 8 equal portions and shape each portion into a small patty.
  5. Grill the pork patties for about 3-4 minutes per side, or until cooked through and slightly charred.
  6. Remove the patties from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes.
  7. To serve, place a lettuce leaf on a rice paper wrapper. Top with a grilled pork patty and a handful of fresh herbs.
  8. Roll up the rice paper tightly, tucking in the sides as you go.
  9. Repeat with the remaining ingredients.
  10. Serve the Nem Nuong with the dipping sauce on the side.
