Pork and Apple Cider Sauce
Tender pork chops served with a delicious apple cider sauce.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Fresh thyme - 1 sprig
- Honey - 1 tablespoon
- Dijon mustard - 2 tablespoons
- Apple cider - 1 cup
- Onion - 1, thinly sliced
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Pork chops - 4
Let's Get Started
- Season the pork chops with salt and black pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the pork chops and cook for 4-5 minutes per side, or until cooked through.
- Remove the pork chops from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the sliced onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Add the apple cider, Dijon mustard, honey, and fresh thyme to the skillet.
- Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened slightly.
- Return the pork chops to the skillet and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until heated through.
- Serve the pork chops with the apple cider sauce.
