Let's Get Started

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the cornmeal, flour, Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. Add the shrimp to the bowl and toss to coat.
  4. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  6. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain any excess oil.
  7. Place the baguette halves on a baking sheet and toast in the oven for 5 minutes.
  8. Spread the remoulade sauce on the bottom half of each baguette.
  9. Top with lettuce, tomato, and the fried shrimp.
  10. Serve immediately, with additional remoulade sauce on the side.
