Pizza Napoletana

Ingredients - Serves 4

Let's Get Started

  1. Preheat your oven to its highest setting, typically 500 to 550°F. If you have a pizza stone, place it in the oven to preheat as well.
  2. Divide the pizza dough into 4 equal pieces. On a lightly floured surface, roll out one piece of dough into a thin, round circle.
  3. Spread a layer of crushed tomatoes over the dough, leaving a small border for the crust.
  4. Arrange slices of mozzarella cheese evenly over the tomatoes.
  5. Drizzle the pizza with olive oil and season with salt.
  6. If using a pizza stone, carefully transfer the pizza onto the preheated stone in the oven. If not, place the pizza on a baking sheet and put it in the oven.
  7. Bake for about 10-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbling and slightly browned.
  8. Remove the pizza from the oven and immediately top with fresh basil leaves.
  9. Repeat with the remaining pieces of dough and toppings.
  10. Slice and serve the pizza while it's still hot.
