- Sprinkles - Assorted colors
- Food coloring - Assorted colors
- Powdered sugar - 1 cup
- Milk - 1/2 cup
- Baking powder - 1 teaspoon
- All-purpose flour - 2 cups
- Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
- Eggs - 4
- Sugar - 1 cup
- Butter - 1 cup, softened
Let's Get Started
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a square baking pan.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, combine the flour and baking powder. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk. Mix until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

- Once cooled, cut the cake into small squares or rectangles.
- In separate bowls, mix the powdered sugar with a few drops of food coloring to create different colored glazes.
- Dip each petit four into the glaze, allowing the excess to drip off. Place on a wire rack to set.
- Decorate with sprinkles while the glaze is still wet.
- Allow the petits fours to dry completely before serving.
