Pepper Crusted Ribeye Steak

Ingredients - Serves 2
- Rosemary - 1 sprig
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Butter - 2 tablespoons
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Red pepper flakes - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 2 tablespoons, freshly ground
- Ribeye steak - 2 (1-inch thick)
Let's Get Started
- Remove the steaks from the refrigerator and let them come to room temperature.
- Combine the black pepper, red pepper flakes, and salt in a small bowl. Rub this mixture all over the steaks.
- Heat the olive oil in a cast-iron skillet over high heat. Add the steaks and sear on each side for 3 minutes.
- Reduce the heat to medium, add the butter, garlic, and rosemary to the skillet. Baste the steaks with the butter mixture for 2 minutes.
- Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.
