Pecan Sticky Buns
These delicious pecan sticky buns are made with a soft and fluffy dough, a cinnamon-sugar filling, and a sticky pecan topping.
Ingredients - Serves 12
- Pecans - 1 cup, chopped
- Cinnamon - 2 tablespoons
- Brown sugar - 1 cup
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Flour - 4 1/2 cups
- Eggs - 2
- Yeast - 1 packet
- Butter - 1/2 cup
- Sugar - 1/2 cup
- Milk - 1 cup
Let's Get Started
- In a small saucepan, heat the milk, sugar, and butter until the butter is melted. Let cool until lukewarm, then stir in the yeast and let sit for 5 minutes.
- In a large bowl, combine the milk mixture, eggs, flour, and salt. Knead until a smooth dough forms, then cover and let rise for 1 hour.
- In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar and cinnamon. Roll out the dough into a rectangle, sprinkle with the cinnamon-sugar mixture, and roll up tightly.
- Cut the dough into 12 equal pieces and place in a greased baking dish. Cover and let rise for 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F. Sprinkle the buns with the chopped pecans and bake for 30 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Let the buns cool for a few minutes, then invert onto a serving plate. Serve warm.
