Peanut Butter Blossoms
These classic peanut butter blossoms are soft and chewy cookies with a chocolate kiss on top.
Ingredients - Serves 24
- Hershey's kisses - 24, unwrapped
- Granulated sugar (for rolling) - 1/4 cup
- Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
- Egg - 1
- Brown sugar - 1/2 cup, packed
- Granulated sugar - 1/2 cup
- Creamy peanut butter - 1/2 cup
- Unsalted butter - 1/2 cup, softened
- Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
- Baking soda - 1/2 teaspoon
- All-purpose flour - 1 3/4 cups
Let's Get Started
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, peanut butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter mixture and mix until well combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Shape the dough into 1-inch balls.
- Roll each dough ball in granulated sugar to coat.
- Place the coated dough balls onto an ungreased baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Remove the cookies from the oven and immediately press a Hershey's Kiss into the center of each cookie.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
