Let's Get Started

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, peanut butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter mixture and mix until well combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
  6. Shape the dough into 1-inch balls.
  7. Roll each dough ball in granulated sugar to coat.
  8. Place the coated dough balls onto an ungreased baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  9. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
  10. Remove the cookies from the oven and immediately press a Hershey's Kiss into the center of each cookie.
  11. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
