Pasta Alla Vodka
This creamy and flavorful pasta dish is made with a rich vodka sauce and served with your choice of pasta.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Fresh basil - 1/4 cup, chopped
- Parmesan cheese - 1/2 cup, grated
- Heavy cream - 1/2 cup
- Tomato sauce - 1 cup
- Vodka - 1/4 cup
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Onion - 1, finely chopped
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Pasta - 12 ounces
Let's Get Started
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic. Cook until the onion is translucent and the garlic is fragrant, about 5 minutes.
- Add the vodka to the skillet and cook for 2 minutes, allowing the alcohol to evaporate.
- Stir in the tomato sauce and heavy cream. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat it evenly with the sauce.
- Remove the skillet from heat and sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the pasta. Stir until the cheese is melted and the sauce is creamy.
- Garnish with fresh chopped basil before serving.
