Let's Get Started

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook until al dente.
  2. While the pasta is cooking, heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the garlic and red pepper flakes and cook until the garlic is golden.
  3. Add the cherry tomatoes to the pan and cook until they start to break down, about 5 minutes.
  4. Drain the pasta, reserving some of the pasta water. Add the pasta to the pan with the tomatoes and toss to combine.
  5. Add the pecorino cheese and a little pasta water if needed to create a creamy sauce. Season with salt.
  6. Serve the pasta topped with the torn basil leaves.
