Parmesan Garlic Mashed Potatoes
Creamy mashed potatoes with a delicious parmesan and garlic twist.
Ingredients - Serves 6
- Chives - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Parmesan cheese - 1/2 cup, grated
- Milk - 1/2 cup
- Garlic - 4 cloves, minced
- Butter - 1/2 cup
- Potatoes - 2 pounds, peeled and cubed
Let's Get Started
- Place the peeled and cubed potatoes in a large pot of salted water. Bring to a boil and cook until tender, about 15 minutes.
- While the potatoes are cooking, melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for 2-3 minutes until fragrant.
- Drain the cooked potatoes and return them to the pot. Mash the potatoes with a potato masher or fork until smooth.
- Pour the melted garlic butter, milk, grated parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper into the pot with the mashed potatoes. Stir well to combine.
- Taste and adjust the seasoning if needed. If the mashed potatoes are too thick, add more milk until desired consistency is reached.
- Transfer the mashed potatoes to a serving dish and garnish with chopped chives.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
