Palisade Peach Cobbler
A delicious dessert made with fresh Palisade peaches, topped with a sweet, buttery crust.
Ingredients - Serves 8
- Ground cinnamon - 1/2 teaspoon
- Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
- Unsalted butter - 1/2 cup, melted
- Milk - 1 cup
- Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
- Baking powder - 1 teaspoon
- All-purpose flour - 1 cup
- Granulated sugar - 1 cup
- Palisade peaches - 6 cups, sliced
Let's Get Started
- Preheat the oven to 375°F.
- In a large bowl, combine the sliced peaches and half of the sugar. Set aside.
- In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt, and the remaining sugar.
- Add the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract to the flour mixture. Stir until just combined.
- Pour the batter into a 9x13 inch baking dish. Arrange the peaches on top of the batter.
- Sprinkle the cinnamon over the peaches.
- Bake for 45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the peaches are bubbly.
- Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, if desired.
