Oyster Sauce
This oyster sauce stir-fry is a delicious and savory dish that combines fresh vegetables and tender meat with the rich flavor of oyster sauce.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Water - 1/4 cup
- Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
- Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Ginger - 1 tablespoon, grated
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Bell pepper - 1, sliced
- Carrots - 2, sliced
- Broccoli - 2 cups, florets
- Chicken breast - 2, boneless and skinless, sliced
- Oyster sauce - 1/4 cup
Let's Get Started
- In a small bowl, whisk together the oyster sauce, soy sauce, cornstarch, and water. Set aside.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add the chicken slices and stir-fry until cooked through, about 5 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the garlic and ginger. Stir-fry for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the broccoli, carrots, and bell pepper to the skillet. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are crisp-tender.
- Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and pour in the oyster sauce mixture. Stir-fry for another 2 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the ingredients.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve the oyster sauce stir-fry hot with steamed rice or noodles.
