Oregano and Tomato Grilled Cheese
This delicious grilled cheese sandwich is made with oregano-infused butter, fresh tomatoes, and melted cheese.
Ingredients - Serves 2
- Black pepper - To taste
- Salt - To taste
- Tomato - 1, sliced
- Cheddar cheese - 4 slices
- Bread slices - 4
- Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
- Butter - 4 tablespoons
Let's Get Started
- In a small bowl, mix together the butter and dried oregano until well combined.
- Spread the oregano butter on one side of each bread slice.
- Place two slices of bread, buttered side down, on a heated skillet or griddle over medium heat.
- Layer each slice with 2 slices of cheddar cheese and tomato slices. Sprinkle with salt and black pepper.
- Top with the remaining bread slices, buttered side up.
- Cook for 3-4 minutes, or until the bottom bread is golden brown and the cheese starts to melt.
- Flip the sandwiches and cook for another 3-4 minutes, or until the other side is golden brown and the cheese is fully melted.
- Remove from heat and let cool for a minute before slicing and serving.
