Oregano and Tomato Grilled Cheese

Let's Get Started

  1. In a small bowl, mix together the butter and dried oregano until well combined.
  2. Spread the oregano butter on one side of each bread slice.
  3. Place two slices of bread, buttered side down, on a heated skillet or griddle over medium heat.
  4. Layer each slice with 2 slices of cheddar cheese and tomato slices. Sprinkle with salt and black pepper.
  5. Top with the remaining bread slices, buttered side up.
  6. Cook for 3-4 minutes, or until the bottom bread is golden brown and the cheese starts to melt.
  7. Flip the sandwiches and cook for another 3-4 minutes, or until the other side is golden brown and the cheese is fully melted.
  8. Remove from heat and let cool for a minute before slicing and serving.
