Onion and Chicken Stir Fry
A quick and easy stir fry dish that's perfect for weeknight dinners. Tender chicken and caramelized onions are tossed in a flavorful sauce and served over rice.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
- Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Oyster sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Soy sauce - 1/4 cup
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Onions - 2 large, thinly sliced
- Chicken breast - 2, cut into thin strips
Let's Get Started
- In a bowl, combine the chicken, soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, and cornstarch. Mix well and set aside to marinate for 10 minutes.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large wok or frying pan over medium-high heat.
- Add the onions and garlic and stir fry until the onions are soft and golden, about 5 minutes.
- Add the marinated chicken and stir fry until the chicken is cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve the stir fry over steamed rice.
