Nabe Yaki Udon
Nabe Yaki Udon is a delicious Japanese noodle dish cooked in a hot pot with various ingredients.
Ingredients - Serves 2
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Egg - 2
- Salt - To taste
- Mirin - 1 tablespoon
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Dashi broth - 4 cups
- Fish cake - 2 slices, thinly sliced
- Spinach - 1 cup
- Green onions - 2, chopped
- Carrot - 1, julienned
- Mushrooms - 100g, sliced
- Shrimp - 150g, peeled and deveined
- Chicken breast - 200g, thinly sliced
- Udon noodles - 200g
Let's Get Started
- In a large pot, bring water to a boil and cook the udon noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a separate pot, heat the dashi broth over medium heat. Add soy sauce, mirin, and salt to taste.
- Add the chicken, shrimp, mushrooms, carrot, green onions, spinach, and fish cake to the pot. Cook until the chicken is cooked through and the vegetables are tender.
- Divide the cooked udon noodles into two bowls.
- Crack an egg into each bowl of noodles and gently mix.
- Pour the hot broth and ingredients over the noodles and eggs.
- Drizzle with sesame oil and garnish with additional green onions.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
