Let's Get Started

  1. In a large bowl, combine the warm water, yeast, and honey. Let sit for 5 minutes until the yeast is foamy.
  2. Add the olive oil, whole wheat flour, bread flour, multigrain cereal, flax seeds, sunflower seeds, and salt. Stir until the dough comes together.
  3. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 10 minutes, until it is smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until it has doubled in size.
  5. Punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf. Place it in a greased loaf pan, cover, and let rise for another hour.
  6. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  7. Bake the bread for 35-40 minutes, until it is golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.
  8. Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then remove it from the pan and let it cool completely on a wire rack.
