Chestnut Panna Cotta
This creamy, smooth panna cotta is a perfect dessert for the holiday season, featuring the rich, earthy flavor of chestnuts.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Salt - A pinch
- Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
- Gelatin - 2 teaspoons
- Sugar - 1/2 cup
- Heavy cream - 1 cup
- Whole milk - 2 cups
- Chestnuts - 200 grams, roasted and peeled
Let's Get Started
- In a blender, blend the chestnuts and milk until smooth.
- In a saucepan, combine the chestnut mixture, heavy cream, sugar, and salt. Heat over medium heat until the sugar is dissolved.
- Sprinkle the gelatin over the mixture and stir until the gelatin is dissolved.
- Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
- Pour the mixture into four ramekins or dessert molds. Let cool to room temperature.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until the panna cotta is set.
- To serve, run a knife around the edge of each panna cotta and unmold onto a plate. Enjoy!
