Moo Shu Pork
Moo Shu Pork is a traditional Chinese dish made with thinly sliced pork, scrambled eggs, and stir-fried vegetables, all wrapped in a thin pancake.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Chinese pancakes - 8
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Sesame oil - 2 tablespoons
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Hoisin sauce - 1/2 cup
- Green onions - 1 cup, sliced
- Mushrooms - 1 cup, sliced
- Cabbage - 2 cups, shredded
- Eggs - 4, beaten
- Pork loin - 1 pound, thinly sliced
Let's Get Started
- Heat 1 tablespoon of sesame oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the eggs and scramble until fully cooked. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of sesame oil. Add the pork and cook until no longer pink. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- Add the cabbage, mushrooms, green onions, and garlic to the skillet. Stir-fry for about 5 minutes, until the vegetables are tender.
- Return the pork and eggs to the skillet. Stir in the hoisin sauce and soy sauce. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, until everything is well combined and heated through.
- Serve the moo shu pork with the Chinese pancakes. Each person can spoon some of the pork mixture onto a pancake, roll it up, and enjoy.
