Montaditos
Montaditos are a popular Spanish tapas dish. They are small sandwiches filled with a variety of ingredients.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Green olives - 8, pitted and sliced
- Manchego cheese - 8 slices
- Serrano ham - 8 slices
- Tomato - 1, halved
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Baguette - 1, cut into 1/2 inch slices
Let's Get Started
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Place the baguette slices on a baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil.
- Bake for 5 minutes, or until the bread is toasted.
- Rub the toasted bread with the cut side of the garlic and then the cut side of the tomato.
- Top each slice of bread with a slice of Serrano ham and a slice of Manchego cheese.
- Return the montaditos to the oven and bake for another 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted.
- Top each montadito with a few slices of green olive before serving.
