Mongolian Beef

Ingredients - Serves 4

Let's Get Started

  1. In a bowl, toss the sliced beef with cornstarch until well coated.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat.
  3. Add the beef to the hot skillet and cook until browned, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and grated ginger. Cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, and water. Pour the sauce into the skillet with the garlic and ginger. Cook for 2 minutes, or until the sauce thickens slightly.
  6. Return the cooked beef to the skillet and toss to coat it in the sauce. Cook for an additional 2 minutes to heat through.
  7. Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
  8. Serve hot with steamed rice or noodles.
