Molletes
Molletes are a traditional Mexican dish made with bolillo bread, refried beans, cheese, and salsa.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped (optional)
- Avocado - 1, sliced (optional)
- Salsa - 1/2 cup
- Cheese - 1 cup, shredded
- Refried beans - 1 cup
- Bolillo bread - 4 pieces
Let's Get Started
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Slice the bolillo bread in half lengthwise.
- Spread a generous amount of refried beans on each bread half.
- Sprinkle shredded cheese on top of the beans.
- Place the molletes on a baking sheet and bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and top with salsa, sliced avocado, and chopped cilantro, if desired.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
