Ingredients - Serves 10

Let's Get Started

  1. Cut the chiverre squash in half and remove the seeds.
  2. Place the squash in a large pot and cover with water. Boil until the squash is soft, about 1 hour.
  3. Drain the squash and let it cool. Once cool, scrape out the flesh and discard the skin.
  4. In a large pot, combine the squash flesh, sugar, cinnamon stick, cloves, and lemon peel. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and turns a golden color, about 1 hour.
  5. Remove the cinnamon stick, cloves, and lemon peel. Let the mixture cool before serving.
