Maple Bacon Donuts

Ingredients - Serves 12

Let's Get Started

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F and grease a donut pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the milk, 1/4 cup of the maple syrup, eggs, and melted butter.
  4. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  5. Fold in half of the crumbled bacon.
  6. Spoon the batter into the donut pan, filling each cavity about 2/3 full.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the donuts are golden brown and spring back when touched.
  8. While the donuts are baking, make the glaze by combining the powdered sugar, remaining maple syrup, and maple extract in a bowl.
  9. Once the donuts have cooled slightly, dip the tops of each donut into the glaze and sprinkle with the remaining bacon.
