Mango and Sticky Rice Dessert

Ingredients - Serves 4

Let's Get Started

  1. Rinse the sticky rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Soak the rice in water for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  2. Drain the soaked rice and place it in a steamer basket lined with cheesecloth. Steam the rice over high heat for 20 minutes, or until it is tender and cooked through.
  3. While the rice is steaming, prepare the coconut sauce. In a small saucepan, combine the coconut milk, sugar, and salt. Heat over medium heat until the sugar is dissolved and the mixture is heated through. Remove from heat and set aside.
  4. Once the rice is cooked, transfer it to a bowl and pour half of the coconut sauce over it. Stir gently to coat the rice with the sauce.
  5. To serve, divide the sticky rice among serving plates. Top each portion with sliced mangoes and drizzle with the remaining coconut sauce.
  6. Sprinkle sesame seeds over the dessert and garnish with fresh mint leaves.
  7. Serve the mango and sticky rice dessert warm or at room temperature.
