Maminha Assada
Maminha Assada is a traditional Brazilian dish, featuring a succulent cut of beef known as the tri-tip. It's marinated and then roasted to perfection.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Rosemary - 2 sprigs
- Red wine - 1 cup
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Black pepper - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic - 5 cloves, minced
- Tri-tip beef roast - 1.5 kg
Let's Get Started
- In a bowl, combine the minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and olive oil to make a paste.
- Rub the paste all over the tri-tip roast, ensuring it's well coated.
- Place the roast in a dish, pour the red wine over it, and add the sprigs of rosemary. Cover and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Place the marinated roast on a roasting rack in a roasting pan.
- Roast in the preheated oven for about 1.5 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 60°C (140°F) for medium-rare.
- Remove the roast from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
