Maccheroni Con La Salsiccia

Ingredients - Serves 4

Let's Get Started

  1. Cook the maccheroni pasta in a large pot of boiling salted water until al dente.
  2. While the pasta is cooking, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add the sausage and cook until browned. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add the garlic and onion and cook until softened.
  5. Add the canned tomatoes and red wine to the skillet. Bring to a simmer.
  6. Return the sausage to the skillet and season with salt and pepper. Let the sauce simmer for 15 minutes.
  7. Drain the pasta and add it to the skillet, tossing to coat in the sauce.
  8. Serve the pasta with a generous sprinkle of Parmesan cheese.
