Linguine with Clam Sauce
A classic Italian pasta dish made with a garlic, clam, and white wine sauce served over linguine.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Parsley - 1/4 cup, chopped
- White wine - 1 cup
- Clams - 2 pounds, fresh, in shell
- Red pepper flakes - 1/4 teaspoon
- Garlic - 4 cloves, minced
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Linguine - 1 pound
Let's Get Started
- Cook the linguine according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the garlic and red pepper flakes and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add the clams and white wine to the skillet. Cover and cook until the clams open, about 7-10 minutes.
- Discard any clams that do not open.
- Add the cooked linguine to the skillet and toss to combine with the clam sauce.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.
