Linguine with Chorizo and Tomato Sauce
A delicious pasta dish with a spicy kick from chorizo and a rich tomato sauce.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Parmesan cheese - 1/2 cup, grated
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Red pepper flakes - 1/2 teaspoon
- Tomato sauce - 2 cups
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Onion - 1, chopped
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Chorizo - 1/2 pound, sliced
- Linguine - 1 pound
Let's Get Started
- Cook the linguine according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chorizo and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.
- Add the onion and garlic to the skillet and cook until the onion is soft, about 5 minutes.
- Add the tomato sauce, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Bring to a simmer and cook for 10 minutes.
- Add the cooked linguine to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce.
- Serve the pasta with a sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese on top.
