  2. While the pasta is cooking, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add the garlic, anchovies, and red pepper flakes to the skillet. Cook, stirring frequently, until the anchovies have melted into the oil and the garlic is fragrant.
  4. Add the cooked linguine to the skillet, along with the reserved pasta water. Toss until the pasta is well coated in the sauce.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in the chopped parsley and grated Parmesan cheese.
  6. Serve immediately, with additional Parmesan cheese on the side if desired.
