Ingredients - Serves 20

Let's Get Started

  1. Wash the lemons thoroughly. Using a vegetable peeler, remove the peel from the lemons in long strips.
  2. Place the lemon peels in a large glass jar and pour in the vodka. Cover the jar and let sit at room temperature for at least 10 days and up to 40 days in a cool dark place.
  3. In a large saucepan, combine the sugar and water and cook until thickened, approximately 5 to 7 minutes. Let the syrup cool before adding it to the Limoncello mixture.
  4. Add the cooled sugar mixture to the Limoncello mixture. Cover and let sit overnight at room temperature.
  5. Strain the Limoncello through a mesh strainer or cheesecloth to remove the peels. Pour the strained Limoncello into bottle(s) and seal tightly.
  6. Store your Limoncello in the freezer until ready to serve.
