  1. In a saucepan, combine the milk, sugar, cinnamon stick, and lemon peel. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
  2. Remove from heat and let cool. Once cool, remove the cinnamon stick and lemon peel.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form.
  4. Gradually fold the beaten egg whites into the cooled milk mixture.
  5. Pour the mixture into a container and freeze for at least 3 hours, stirring occasionally to prevent ice crystals from forming.
  6. Before serving, let the Leche Merengada soften at room temperature for a few minutes. Sprinkle with cinnamon powder and serve.
