Ingredients - Serves 8

Let's Get Started

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  2. Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef, onion, and garlic over medium heat until the beef is browned. Drain any excess fat.
  4. Add the tomato sauce, tomato paste, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix together the ricotta cheese, egg, and Parmesan cheese.
  6. Spread a thin layer of the meat sauce in the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  7. Place a layer of lasagna noodles on top of the sauce.
  8. Spread half of the ricotta cheese mixture over the noodles.
  9. Sprinkle half of the shredded mozzarella cheese over the ricotta layer.
  10. Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients, ending with a layer of meat sauce and mozzarella cheese on top.
  11. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  12. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  13. Let the lasagna cool for a few minutes before serving.
