Kung Pao Shrimp
Kung Pao Shrimp is a spicy, stir-fried Chinese dish made with shrimp, peanuts, vegetables, and chili peppers.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Peanuts - 1/2 cup
- Green onions - 3, chopped
- Dried red chili peppers - 6
- Ginger - 1 tablespoon, minced
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
- Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Shrimp - 1 pound, peeled and deveined
Let's Get Started
- In a bowl, combine the shrimp, soy sauce, and cornstarch. Set aside to marinate for 15 minutes.
- Heat the oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat.
- Add the garlic, ginger, and dried red chili peppers. Stir-fry for 30 seconds.
- Add the shrimp and stir-fry until they turn pink, about 2-3 minutes.
- Add the green onions and peanuts. Stir-fry for another 2 minutes.
- Serve the Kung Pao Shrimp with steamed rice.
