Gong Bao Frog Legs
A twist on the classic Gong Bao dish, this recipe uses frog legs for a unique and flavorful meal.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Peanuts - 1/2 cup, roasted
- Green onions - 2, sliced
- Ginger - 1 inch piece, minced
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Szechuan peppercorns - 1 teaspoon
- Dried red chilies - 6
- Peanut oil - 2 tablespoons
- Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
- Sugar - 1 tablespoon
- Chinese black vinegar - 1 tablespoon
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Frog legs - 8 pairs
Let's Get Started
- Marinate the frog legs in a mixture of soy sauce, vinegar, sugar, and cornstarch for 15 minutes.
- Heat the peanut oil in a wok over high heat.
- Add the dried chilies and Szechuan peppercorns and stir-fry for 30 seconds.
- Add the frog legs and stir-fry for 5 minutes, or until they are cooked through.
- Add the garlic, ginger, and green onions and stir-fry for another 2 minutes.
