Korma
This creamy and flavorful Chicken Korma is a popular Indian dish made with tender chicken pieces simmered in a rich and aromatic sauce.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Fresh coriander - For garnish
- Water - 1 cup
- Salt - To taste
- Ground coriander - 1 teaspoon
- Ground cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Ground turmeric - 1/2 teaspoon
- Korma paste - 2 tablespoons
- Ginger - 1 inch piece, grated
- Garlic - 4 cloves, minced
- Onions - 2, finely chopped
- Yogurt - 1 cup
- Chicken - 500 grams, boneless
Let's Get Started
- Marinate the chicken pieces in yogurt for at least 2 hours.
- Heat oil in a pan and sauté the onions until golden brown.
- Add the minced garlic and grated ginger to the pan and sauté for another minute.
- Add the korma paste, turmeric, cumin, coriander, and salt to the pan and stir well.
- Add the marinated chicken to the pan and cook until all sides are browned.
- Add water, cover the pan, and simmer for 20-30 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce has thickened.
- Garnish with fresh coriander before serving.
