Let's Get Started

  1. Soak the sliced lotus root in water for 5 minutes to remove any bitterness.
  2. Heat the sesame oil in a pan over medium heat.
  3. Drain the lotus root and add it to the pan. Stir-fry for about 5 minutes, until the slices become translucent.
  4. Add the soy sauce, mirin, sugar, and red pepper flakes. Continue to stir-fry for another 5 minutes, until the lotus root is well coated and the sauce has thickened.
  5. Remove from heat and sprinkle with sesame seeds before serving.
