Let's Get Started

  1. Rinse the gobo and carrot under cold water. Slice them into thin matchsticks.
  2. Heat the sesame oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the gobo and carrot and sauté until they start to soften.
  3. Add the soy sauce, mirin, and sugar to the pan. Stir well to combine.
  4. Cover the pan and reduce the heat to low. Let it simmer for about 10 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender.
  5. Remove the lid and increase the heat to high. Stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes, or until the liquid has evaporated.
  6. Sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds before serving.
