Let's Get Started

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the lamb, potatoes, carrots, onions, garlic, salt, black pepper, cumin, and coriander. Mix well to coat the ingredients with the spices.
  3. Transfer the mixture to a large oven-safe pot or Dutch oven.
  4. Place the hot stones on top of the mixture. Make sure the stones are heated properly and handle them with caution.
  5. Cover the pot with a tight-fitting lid and place it in the preheated oven.
  6. Cook for 2 hours, or until the lamb is tender and the vegetables are cooked through.
  7. Carefully remove the hot stones from the pot using tongs.
  8. Serve the khorkhog hot, directly from the pot.
