Keto Sausage and Spinach Quiche
This delicious keto-friendly quiche is packed with savory sausage and nutritious spinach.
Ingredients - Serves 6
- Cheddar cheese - 1 cup, shredded
- Spinach - 2 cups, chopped
- Ground sausage - 1/2 pound
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Heavy cream - 1/2 cup
- Eggs - 4
- Butter - 4 tablespoons, melted
- Almond flour - 1 cup
Let's Get Started
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the almond flour, melted butter, 1 egg, salt, and black pepper. Press the mixture into the bottom of a greased 9-inch pie dish to form the crust.
- In a skillet, cook the ground sausage over medium heat until browned. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the chopped spinach and cook until wilted. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the remaining 3 eggs and heavy cream. Season with salt and black pepper.
- Spread the cooked sausage and spinach evenly over the crust in the pie dish. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top.
- Pour the egg mixture over the filling in the pie dish.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the quiche is set and golden brown on top.
- Allow the quiche to cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
