Keema
Keema Curry is a traditional Indian dish made with minced meat, peas, and a blend of spices. It's a flavorful and comforting dish that's perfect for a weeknight dinner.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Fresh coriander - For garnish
- Salt - To taste
- Oil - 2 tablespoons
- Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon
- Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
- Chili powder - 1 teaspoon
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Tomatoes - 2, chopped
- Ginger - 1 inch piece, grated
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Onions - 2, finely chopped
- Peas - 1 cup
- Minced meat - 500 grams
Let's Get Started
- Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Once they start to splutter, add the onions and sauté until golden brown.
- Add the minced garlic and grated ginger to the pan and sauté for a few more minutes.
- Add the minced meat to the pan and cook until it is browned.
- Add the chopped tomatoes, turmeric powder, chili powder, and salt. Cook until the tomatoes are soft.
- Add the peas and garam masala to the pan. Cover and cook for about 10 minutes, until the peas are cooked.
- Garnish with fresh coriander and serve hot with rice or naan bread.
