Kai Jeow
Kai Jeow is a simple, delicious, and classic Thai dish. It's a crispy, fluffy omelette that's usually served over rice.
Ingredients - Serves 2
- Sriracha sauce - For serving
- Cilantro - For garnish
- Cooked jasmine rice - 2 cups
- Green onions - 2, chopped
- Cooking oil - 2 tablespoons
- Fish sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Eggs - 4
Let's Get Started
- In a bowl, beat the eggs and fish sauce together until well combined.
- Heat the oil in a non-stick frying pan over medium-high heat.
- Pour the egg mixture into the pan and spread it out evenly.
- Sprinkle the chopped green onions over the top of the egg mixture.
- Cook for about 2-3 minutes, or until the bottom is golden brown and crispy.
- Flip the omelette and cook for another 2-3 minutes, or until the other side is golden brown and crispy.
- Serve the omelette over cooked jasmine rice, garnished with cilantro and served with Sriracha sauce on the side.
