Jiro Ramen
Jiro Ramen is a hearty and flavorful Japanese noodle soup topped with a variety of ingredients.
Ingredients - Serves 2
- Black pepper - To taste
- Salt - To taste
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Green onions - 4, chopped
- Cabbage - 2 cups, shredded
- Bean sprouts - 1 cup
- Tonkotsu ramen noodles - 2 servings
- Mirin - 2 tablespoons
- Soy sauce - 3 tablespoons
- Ginger - 1 tablespoon, grated
- Garlic - 4 cloves, minced
- Pork belly - 200g
Let's Get Started
- In a bowl, combine minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, and mirin to make the marinade.
- Slice the pork belly into thin strips and marinate in the sauce for at least 30 minutes.
- In a large pot, bring water to a boil and cook the tonkotsu ramen noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a separate pot, heat sesame oil over medium heat. Add the marinated pork belly and cook until browned and crispy.
- Add the bean sprouts and shredded cabbage to the pot and cook until slightly wilted.
- Divide the cooked noodles into serving bowls and top with the pork belly, bean sprouts, and cabbage mixture.
- Garnish with chopped green onions and season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
