Ingredients - Serves 4

Let's Get Started

  1. Boil water in a pot and blanch the aburaage for 1 minute to remove excess oil. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a separate pot, combine soy sauce, mirin, sugar, and water. Bring to a boil and add the aburaage. Simmer for 10 minutes, then remove from heat and let it cool in the sauce.
  3. Once the aburaage is cool, gently squeeze out excess liquid.
  4. Open each aburaage pouch and stuff it with sushi rice. Press lightly to shape it.
  5. Sprinkle black sesame seeds on top of each inarizushi.
  6. Serve inarizushi with pickled ginger on the side.
  7. Enjoy!
