Ingredients - Serves 4

Let's Get Started

  1. Soak the hijiki in warm water for 15 minutes, then drain and rinse.
  2. In a large pan, heat the sesame oil over medium heat.
  3. Add the carrot and cook for 2-3 minutes, until slightly softened.
  4. Add the hijiki, edamame, and tofu to the pan and stir to combine.
  5. In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, mirin, and sugar until the sugar is dissolved.
  6. Pour the sauce over the hijiki mixture and stir to combine.
  7. Cover the pan and simmer for 20 minutes, until the hijiki is tender.
  8. Sprinkle with sesame seeds before serving.
