  1. Combine the rabbit, wine, onions, garlic, bay leaves, cloves, juniper berries, salt, and pepper in a large bowl. Cover and refrigerate for at least 12 hours.
  2. Remove the rabbit from the marinade and pat dry. Reserve the marinade.
  3. Dredge the rabbit pieces in the flour.
  4. Melt the butter in a large pot over medium heat. Add the rabbit pieces and brown on all sides.
  5. Add the reserved marinade and the beef broth to the pot. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 2 hours, or until the rabbit is tender.
  6. Serve the hasenpfeffer hot, with mashed potatoes or noodles on the side.
